Well, those two pounds I put on over the weekend came back off in a flash along with another one. I'm officially down 15 pounds today. Hurray! I'm back to my hour a day on the Wii and back on track.
There's a Wii Fit Forum at www.wiifitforum.org for people like me that are exercising with their Wii. I've found some great tips there and some really motivational messages from the members. I highly recommend that you check it out.

Weekend Off
Well, I broke my streak and didn't exercise this past weekend. I made it 42 days, but just couldn't muster the enthusiasm to work out on Saturday or Sunday. Jumped back on the scale this morning though and was happy to see I was only up 2 pounds. Felt great after working out and I'm ready to start another long exercise streak. Wish me luck!

Custom Routines
I used the custom routine feature on the wii fit plus today. It lets you plug in the exercises you want to do, in the order you want to do them and saves the routine for you. I haven't been using it because I like the flexibility of being able to change things up according to my mood each morning. The advantage of saving a routine though is that you skip all the unnecessary button pushing on the remote in between exercises so you can go through them more quickly.
In other exciting news, my piggy bank turned Gold the other day when I hit 40 hours. It was also time to change the batteries in the balance board.

Day 40!
Hurray! I've now exercised 40 days in a row. The wii says I'm down 14 pounds. I'm working hard to lose 4 more by the end of the month.
A gal who has a blog that reviews products contacted me at work asking if we would send her products to try out and review. Her site is called thebkeepsushonest.com and it's interesting to see how many big (and small) name companies have sent her items to blog about. She's linked to a whole group of women who do this online. Cool way for them to get free products. Cheap way for companies to get advertising. Wonder how long the trend will continue before companies get tired of sending stuff out for free?

Back on Track
Well, it took longer than I thought to get those two pounds back off, but I got them off along with another pound, so now I'm down 13 pounds. Hoping to get through this weekend without any increase on the scale.
As I lose weight, the number of calories I'm burning is dropping. Just a function of the equation ... but, it means that I've had to kick it up a little bit more on the aerobic exercises. Now doing 10 minutes of running, 10 minutes of boxing, and 10 minutes of super hula hoop each morning.

Weekends :(
Ah, why are weekends so hard for weight loss? It's not like I pigged out or anything, and I actually did more exercise than I usually do during the week, but even the little bit extra I ate showed up on the scale this morning. Up 2 pounds. I'm still down a total of 10, but I liked it better on Friday when the Wii said I was down 12 pounds. I'm hoping those two pounds come back off tomorrow as quick as they showed up today.
We broke out the Wii Sports that we haven't played in awhile this weekend. I really like the tennis and it's a good workout. Wish I could have the time playing that count toward my time on the Wii Fit Plus. I know I can add the time in manually, but it would be cool if it did it automatically.

10 Pounds! Hurray!
I'm finally down 10 full pounds! Hurray! Now on to the next 10 pounds.
I braved the 6 minute Super Hula Hoop this morning. I've learned that if I go slower and focus on making big, smooth circles, it's not as horrible of a workout ... well, more of a workout and less panting. The hoops spin better/faster too and I actually got 4 stars!

Day 25
Down almost 10 pounds! I can really feel it in my clothes now ... and my pants are "magically" longer :) Funny how they hang better when they're not so tight.
I rode all over the island on my bike this weekend and opened up the map. You have to ride through all of the darker squares along the beach - even in the water. Once you've gotten as many as possible, it tell you you've opened up the map and rewards you with a new blue bike with white wheels. Doesn't do anything the other bike did, but it was such a sense of accomplishment!
Also found a thing that lets you pick a food with a set amount of calories and then it counts down how many more calories you need to burn to equal that amount. I chose a piece of cake for 310 calories. At first I really liked it, and it is motivating as it makes me choose aerobic exercises over easier things, but it's also a bit frustrating when I've just run the Island lap and still have over 200 calories to go.
